Eastern Region NDC To Seek Bail For 'Caged' Executives

The Eastern Regional Executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to its constituency Chairmen to open it offices that was shutdown Saturday. On Saturday August 8, 2015 all 32 Constituency Chairmen ordered for the closure of the party’s offices across the region and also withdrawn their services to the party.

According to the chairmen, the move is in solidarity with the five Mpraeso constituency executives of the party who are on remand following a row with the Kwahu South District Chief Executive, Joseph Omari. Speaking with Adom News, Eastern Regional Secretary of NDC, Mark Oliver Kevor urged the aggrieved executives to rescind their decision. He said they are working around the clock to get bail for Kwahu South Chairman, Mohammadu Salisu and four other executives in prison custody.

Meanwhile spokesperson for the 32 chairmen, Johnson Amo maintained that the offices will remain closed until their colleagues are released Amo who is also the constituency chairman for Atiwa West is called for the immediate sack of the DCE, Joseph Omari for peace to prevail.
