Midfielder Sulley Muntari has put aside questions over his loyalty to the Black Stars insisting his allegiance to Ghana remains resolute. The Inter Milan enforcer got a hiding from the local media for absenting himself for June�s World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Sudan. The media�s anger over his absence was exacerbated by his mum�s claims that the Black Stars would not progress without her son. Criticism of the player went an octave higher after the away wins over Mali and Sudan but ahead of Ghana�s clash with Zambia on Wednesday Muntari says his loyalty must not be questioned. �I have come to London to serve my country in tonight�s game against Zambia and that is my focus. Ghana first!,� Muntari told Ghanasoccernet exclusively. �I insist that those criticisms in June were unfair to me because consistently in my career I have always put my country first. �For those who want to hear that or formulate that in their minds, I am sorry to disappoint them. I will not turn my back on Ghana. �I am not an ungrateful human being. I have benefited immensely from playing for my country as youth player and forever I will be grateful. �I understand that sometimes criticisms like this happen to players all over the world and God is my witness that I am very loyal to my country. Ghana will play Zambia in a World Cup warm-up in London on Wednesday at 1845 GMT.
