One person who has always supported Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be president, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie is very optimistic that the NPP’s flagbearer will win the 2016 presidential elections.

Despite the internal wrangling in the elephant fraternity and alleged attempts to ruin Nana Addo’s presidential ambition by some party executives, the NPP’s former General Secretary still insist Nana is the choice for the nation.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie, the only “Sir” in Ghana’s politics also known as “Sir John” noted that, Ghana’s current state under the Mahama-led administration can only be salvaged by Nana Addo.

According to him, Ghanaians are yearning for the NPP’s two-time presidential candidate – “They [Ghanaians] will make Nana Addo president”.

Asked by host Kwasi Aboagye what role the NPP national executives would play to ensure Nana Addo’s presidency in 2016, he said – “The NPP executives cannot make him [Nana Addo] a president. Ghanaians will make him”.

“Those who don’t like Nana Addo within the party will bow their heads in shame,” he added – but was quick to say,“Kwabena Agyapong is working very hard to see Nana Addo become president”.

Should Nana Addo fail for the third time to be the president of Ghana, Sir John yells, then – “I will die”.
