Well Vote Skirt And Blouse

Some irate supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper Denkyira East constituency of the Central region have threatened to vote for the presidential candidate of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, but reject the parliamentary candidate who is also the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) of the party in the area, Nana Amoako, in the 2016 General Elections.

According to the irate supporters, they are prepared to go all out to ensure victory for their presidential candidate but will leave no stone unturned to unseat the MP who entered into Parliament in 2004.

Registering their displeasure and reason for their decision, spokesperson for the irate supporters, Stephen Adomako, stated that the MP has not performed to their expectation since he was given the mandate and do not understand why they have to go on to support him.

He indicated that the MP was making the “NPP unpopular” in the constituency since he has done nothing in terms of development to increase the chances of the party in the upcoming general elections.

He pointed out that they fear the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win massively in the constituency considering the massive infrastructural development they have embarked on in the constituency.

“We don’t know what our MP does with his Common Fund. Since he entered Parliament, we have not benefitted from him in anyway,” he stated.

“We cautioned our delegates to kick against him in the just ended parliamentary primaries but they maintained him and that is why we are going to vote against him,” he added

The spokesperson added that the MP has very poor human relations and does not extend a helping hand to supporters of the party in the area in any way hence their decision to support whoever wins the NDC primaries in the area.

Meanwhile, Today has gathered that one Kojo Sekyere Quaye, Paul Boateng and Dr. Mark Kurts Nawane, have all expressed interest in contesting the NDC parliamentary primaries in the area.
