Confusion Awaits Ndc Primaries

MALAM SHAMUNA Ustaz Jibril has predicted that the impending National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) primaries will be characterised by misunderstandings, something which the party hierarchy should pray over.

The Islamic cleric whose predictions have largely come to pass explained that the misunderstanding will be more pronounced in the Upper Eastern Region, especially Zebilla, Bolga, Bawku, Sandema and Paga.

The trouble riddled primaries, he went on, would be replicated in the Northern and the Central regions. In the Ashanti Region, he went on, as will be in the Greater Accra Region, especially Ayawaso, Manya Krobo and Odododiodoo and some constituencies in the Ashanti Regions.

The Brong Ahafo and Western regions will be peaceful, he predicted, adding that between 19 and 20 incumbent MPs will lose in the primaries especially in the Northern, Upper West and Upper East regions.

President Mahama, he said, will be challenged by three persons and that the date for the primary could be shifted.

He has bad news for the Bolga Central, Gambaga-Nalerigu, Akatsi, Salaga MPs, among others, who will lose in the primaries.

Hon Inusah Fuseini and Murtala Mohammed, he said, could also lose in the primaries, including Mubarak in Kumasi.

The Bawku Pusiga MP will be saying good bye to the seat, Shamuna said, pointing out that Baba Jamal should be careful as should be Mustapha Ahmed.

The incumbent MP for Bole, according to him, should not relax as should James Agalga, the newly-elected Talensi MP.

Hon Alban Bagbin, he said, will have it tough before beating his competitor as well as.

He said E.T Mensah should advise himself because the primaries will not favour him.

Turning to the PPP candidate, he said he will make important inroads in the next polls as well as the NDP, which, he added, has a bright future in local politics.

He advised the security managers of the president to open their eyes because of devilish persons who could try dangerous manouvres on him.

On the energy crisis, he predicted a deterioration of the situation. He advised the new chairperson of the Electoral Commission to conduct genuine polls in 2016.

He said, “There will be no more manipulating of election figures in this country no matter what. Should such happen the country will be thrown into chaos.”
