NDC Agenda 50-50 In Eastern Region Is On Course; No Retreat, No Surrender - NDC Chair

In spite of all the pressures by some NDC Constituency Executive members in Kwahu South to see the District Chief Executive of Kwahu-Mpraeso and the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Antwi Boasiako ousted from their respective positions, Nsawam-Adoagyiri Constituency Chairman believes his party’s agenda to get 50 percent votes in the region is on course.

According to Mr. William Atta Mudzi, the assertion that all the 33 Constituency Executives members are going to resign if President Mahama fails to sack the Kwahu-Mpraeso DCE, Joseph Omari and Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi Bosiako Sekyere is not true.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, William Atta Mudzi stated the NDC in the Eastern Region is strongly united after elders of the party from regional and national levels intervened to resolve the case and freed the 5 arrested constituency executives.

He admitted that though they were disappointed in the Eastern Regional Minister and the DCE for taking that entrenched position to call for the arrest of the executives, they now have settled their differences and so there is no need to hold grudges.

He dismissed claims that the Kwahu-Mpraeso DCE was physically assaulted and his ‘Manhindra’ vehicle was also vandalized; saying it is surprising to note that people can imagine such worse happenings in the NDC to the extent that someone who could easily pass for one's father is reported to have been beaten to a pulp.

Touching on the NDC agenda 50-50 in the Eastern Region, William Atta Mudzi insisted saying “we are still pursuing Agenda 50-50 in the Eastern Region; NDC will get 50 percent votes in the Eastern Region and the remaining parties will share the other 50 percent”.

“We are firmly on course because we listen to our elders when they speak to us; we now understand each other more and the agenda 50-50 is on course; no retreat, no surrender”, he assured.
