President of Ghana Medical Association, Dr. Kwabena Poku-Adusei has debunked claims that he has resigned from post.
Speaking in an interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi, Dr. Poku-Adusei stated emphatically that he remains at post and has not tendered any resignation letter to effect his exit.
Earlier today, there reports about a letter written by the GMA President revealing that he had resigned as President and will no longer hold his office.
The reports courted controversy as the Association is still on strike after series of meeting with the government to review their conditions of service delayed.
But according to him, the rumours and reports that he's resigned following governments' refusal to concede to the demands of the members of the Association after they went on strike are intended to stir the nation.
“It’s not true. There’s no truth in it. Now, several tricks are in the world and they want to bring confusion. I haven’t resigned. You are now telling me; I haven’t heard. It’s not true," he told Kwami Sefa Kayi.
