Leadership of the New Patriotic Party have assembled at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on the need for a new voter’s register.

The news conference is being addressed by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, (Presidential Candidate), and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (Vice Presidential Candidate) and it is aimed at waging a campaign on the Electoral Commission to do away with the current ‘fundamentally flawed’ register.

Prior to the Alisa news conference, General Secretary of the Party, Kwabena Agyepong, and Dr. Bawumia, at about 9am, presented a document at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission to its Chairperson, Mrs Charlotte Osei.

The party’s sole aim is to ensure a new registered that guarantees a fair playing field for credible elections next year.
