Don Bortey Breaks Silence Over Alleged Claims Of Age Changing

Former Hearts of Oak winger, Bernard Don Bortey has hit back at recent critics about is age following reports indicating he changed his age from 32 to 24 after signing for Swedish Club Ange IF. Bortey was alleged to have changed his original age which sparked-up debate and argument on Social media. The former Ghana U17 star is recognized as a 32-year-old by the World Football governing body (FIFA) after representing Ghana at the 1999 FIFA U17 World Cup in New Zealand. The former Ghana Premier League best player believes the redundant arguments surrounding his age is an attempt to disrupt his career. �I do not know where this age issue is coming from. It is very bad because my club has not even posted my age on the Internet so who did that?� he said in an interview with Starr Fm. �Everybody in Ghana knows my age unless you are a child who is not yet born.� �My actual age is 32, not 24, so why will I lie about it and for those doing that, no matter what Dong Bortey will rise again.� The speedster was considered to be one of the brightest talents for Ghana after winning bronze with the Black Starlets at the FIFA World Cup in 1999.
