Foreigners In Ghanas Voters Register Will Hit 1 Million Soon Karbo Predicts

NPP’s Lawra constituency Member of Parliament [MP] aspirant, Anthony Abayifa Karbo has anticipated that – foreigners in Ghana’s voters register will soon reach one million [1,000,000] and possibly exceed.

According to him, a team of researchers are still reconnoitering in order to gain more information on the number of foreigners in the voters register.

“Once they are finished with their analysis, there will be a projected number of more than a million from these three countries that have their names and identities in Ghana’s voters register,” he told Kasapa FM.

The opposition NPP led by its Vice Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahumudu Bawumia, buttressed their argument for a new voters register by revealing that the existing one is flooded with 76,286 Togolese nationals whose identity were found in the Togo Voters Register.

The party is calling for a new voters' register before the 2016 election to blue – pencil some ghost names and foreign nationals, especially from neighbouring Togo, Burkina Faso and La Cote d’Ivoire.

Karbo believes there are more to reveal by the NPP – after calling on other political parties to join the crusade for a new voters register.
