A popular Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, aka Lil Wayne, is relishing the prospect of getting on board the Presidential Jet with His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, after the President named him as one of his favourites in the local movie scene.

Lil Wayne says he is hoping that one day he would have the opportunity to entertain President Mahama on the Presidential Jet, a feat he would forever cherish when it comes true. The President, in an interview with the state broadcaster, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), on Wednesday, described Lil Wayne as one of his favourite local actors, and the accolade has sent the comical actor on cloud nine.

Speaking in an interview on Atinka FM in Accra, Lil Wayne said the President’s endorsement was the best news he has ever heard in his entire career as an actor, emphasising that Wednesday August 12, 2016, is a day he would never forget.

“I was beside myself with so much joy when I received a call from a friend that the President has mentioned my name in an interview. In fact, my heart jumped over the wall,” Lil Wayne stated, amidst laughter.

According to him, the endorsement by the President has given him a big time boost, and cemented his position as one of the best local entertainers in Ghana and beyond, adding that it would motivate him to even do better.

But the popular actor is dreaming of even bigger heights, specifically, a date with the President on the luxurious Presidential Jet. “I can’t wait for the day that I would entertain the President on that jet; that day would be wow,” he said, stressing that he feels so honoured to have received mention from the President.

Lil Wayne said though he has not engaged the President in a face-to-face communication before, and only sees him on television, he is hoping that one day he would have the opportunity to meet with him and share a few jokes.
