Samuel Nuamah�s Death Is �Painful� But God Knows Why � Nana Addo

“In this life, we all hope and pray that no parent should have to bury the child. But when such a tragedy befalls, as is the case of Samuel, we have to leave the matter with God” – NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo Addo said when he visited the family of the late Samuel Nuamah, the Ghanaian Times reporter who was killed in an accident involving the presidential press corps last Thursday.

Nana Addo described Sammy’s death as – “Painful” – “but God, in His [God] infinite wisdom, knows why he decided to call Samuel into his bosom at such a young age”.

The NPP leader was accompanied by his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; NPP’s director of communications, Nana Akomea; NPP Youth Organiser, Sammy Awuku; Mike Oquaye jnr and Maame Afua Akoto, both NPP deputy directors of communication to extend condolences to the grieving family on Monday.

“I together with my leadership are here to offer our sympathies to you [family] on the loss of your son, Samuel Nuamah” – Nana Addo said.

According to him, the late Samuel Nuamah’s job as a journalist meant that he was –“not only working to take care of his family, but was also working for mother Ghana”, adding that – “His passing represented a loss for Ghana”.

Nana Addo however promised that the NPP fraternity will grace Samuel’s funeral ceremony when a date is fixed.
