Fear Allah

As part of preparations to ensure that this years Ramadan is incident free and successful, a delegation of Moslem leaders held a conference in Kumasi early this month to deliberate on measures to make this years Ramadan peaceful. Briefing the press in Accra, the acting National Chairman of Hilal said some of the key issues discussed were agreeing on a particular day when the fasting is to commence. He added that the first day of the sighting of the moon for this years fasting should be on Thursday, 20th August, 2009. He however said plans are underway to appeal to the government to extend the Moslem holiday from one to two days. He then advised all Muslims to fear Allah in the performance of their fasting and to be at peace with each other.
