Okudzeto Ablakwa Outdoors Achievements To Constituents

A deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is making a strong case for his reelection as the November 7 constituency primaries of the ruling National Democratic Congress’ draw near.

In furtherance of his second term bid, the deputy Minister recently outdoor a 55 page pictorial book highlighting major projects undertaken by the John Dramani Mahama-led NDC government under his watch.

The book, titled “Summary of Projects in North Tongu,” highlighted projects ranging from ICT, Education, Health, Energy and Roads among several other interventions that have brought respite to the constituents of North Tongu.

Some of the completed projects include a four unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Aveyime Senior High School, 10 Seater Water Closet at Battor, Rehabilitation of semidetached bungalow and a detached bungalow at Cattle Ranch, Aveyime; construction of 3 unit classroom at Ngorlekpoe; construction of 6 unit class room blocks at Morklikpo and Ayiwata respectively.

Others include rehabilitation of street lights, construction of 8 Seater KVIP, Dekukope; Construction of slaughter house and a meat shop, Aveyime; Extension of Ayiwata feeder road, Ayiwata; construction of an open shed at Zomayi; Rehabilitation of Aveyime Mosque, construction of ICT center, Battor; construction of a senior high school and construction of a digital village and health centre, Volo; rehabilitation of Fakpoe CHPS; construction 10 seater water closet, Mepe; and establishment of landing bay and satellite market at Titikope/Mepe.

The rest are construction of 3 unit classroom blocks ate Workpoe, Dadome, Degorme and Mepe; construction of a community police station, construction of 6 unit classroom block and construction of market, all at Fadzoku; construction 10 seater water closet at Juapong market; construction of 6 unit classtoom block, Gborkope and construction of an open drain at Abotia and several other projects.

Speaking at the launch of the book, Okudzeto Ablakwa, who recently announced on twitter he would be seek reelection, urged his constituents to campaign and support him in the impending primaries to secure another mandate to lead the party into the 2016 elections.

The deputy Education Minister admonished the participants to carefully study the report and be up-to-date of its content so they can utilize it towards correction of the misconception created by his detractors.

He indicated that the book does not cover all the project works undertaken by his outfit so far but only about 70-80 percent which is clearly evident serving as witness of the successes chalked by the Mahama-led NDC government in the constituency within a short period of time.
The ruling NDC will elect presidential and parliamentary candidates on November 7 as it introduces ambitious plan to have every single card bearing member vote in the nationwide primaries.

The party has pegged parliamentary filing fees at 10,000 cedis and an aspirant will have to pay 1,000 cedis to pick up a form.

Women and physically disabled will have a 50% discount. Presidential aspirants will have to pay 50,000 cedis.

As result, both incumbent MPs and party activist with intension of contesting the primaries have all kick start their campaigns to consolidate their base in furtherance of their parliamentary ambition.
