Prez Of Head Porters Assoc Warns NDC To Shun "Dirty" Ethnocentric Games

President of the Ghana Association of head porters, Adiza Dagomba, has admonished the leadership of the National Democratic Congress to immediately cease the practice of involving any of her associates in their dirty ethnocentric political games planned to make the New Patriotic Party look bad. Her caution comes on the back of a publication that appeared in the Daily Guide Newspaper, alleging a plot by some members of the NDC, to dress in NPP colours to attack head porters in the Ashanti Region ahead of the 2016 elections. Leaders of the NDC in the Ashanti Region have already filed a complaint to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) against the NPP Regional Chairman over alleged false accusations against First Lady, Lordina Mahama. They cited Bernard Antwi Boasiako of having slammed Mrs. Mahama for allegedly presiding over an NDC meeting in Kumasi to hatch a plan to discredit the NPP. But in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Adiza Dagomba, revealed that when she first came to the Ashanti Region to work as a head porter, some prominent members of the NDC in the region approached her and drummed negative things about Ashantis into her ears. Adiza Dagomba claims the Asnati Regional Chairman for the NPP, Mr. Antwi Boasiko was spot on when he alleged that some members of the NDC were hatching plans to cause disaffection between NPP members in the Ashanti region and head porters. But according to her, her experience with indigenes in the region has been fruitful. When I came to this region, I worked as head porter. But today, I have risen from that position; I now sell engine oils for cars at Suame Magazine. If I had listened to the NDC folks, I wouldnt have made it this far, she said. She therefore called on all political parties especially the NDC to halt the practice of playing the tribal card and focus on making our economy better.
