NDC MP Primaries: The Conscience Of Those Who Will Vote Will Determine My Candidature - Ex-Convict Mallam Issah

He has been tagged as an ex-convict and many believe his chances of winning the Adentan constituency NDC MP’s primary will be dicey.

But the Former Youth and Sports Minister under the Kufuor administration, Mallam Ali Yusif Issah says he is counting on sympathy votes from delegates to pull through the upcoming primaries.

“It is left with the conscience of those who will vote to either accept me. They know that I am an ex-convict but then they also know I have something to deliver. It is the delegates that will decide in Adentan,” Mallam Issah who was convicted in the former Kufuor admonition said.

Mallam Issah is confident that the injustices meted out to him that saw him incarcerated for four years under the Kufuor administration will bring the luck he deserves in the impending contest.

“I have done my underground works before making public my intention to contest the Adentan seat. The executives of constituency wanted me to contest the seat before even the incumbent MP popped up. I was not ready by then but I am now,” he said during an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie"

Mallam Issah is poise to unseat incumbent Nii Ashie Moore, whom he’s blamed for doing less to improve the development of the Adentan constituency in his four year term.

“I am ready to develop Adentan. When given the nod, trust me in two years I will be rated ‘A+’” – he however challenge host Kwasi Aboagye – “Do you want us to bet on that?”
