I Will Contest Prez Mahama Because I Want To Change Things In The NDC - George Boateng

George Boateng has challenged President John Mahama to the core, nursing a strong interest to oust him from the Presidential throne.

Though it appeared President John Mahama would have no competitor in the NDC primaries, George Boateng, a clearing agent at the Kotoka International Airport has hinted that he will contest President Mahama and was optimistic he would become Ghana's Head of State.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM's News at 12 noon, the 45-year-old George Boateng outlined some changes that he would bring to the forefront of the economy.

According to him, he will change the constitution of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This is because, to him, President John Mahama since walking up into the Presidential office has neglected the party.

George Boateng explained that "it is the party that make a government, not the government that makes the party"; for that matter when he becomes the Presidential canditate for the NDC, he would make necessary changes in the party's constitution to reflect his principles.

He further revealed that he has gained much experience in the NDC which qualifies him to contest as President.

He noted that he was the mastermind and the inspiration behind former President Rawlings' wife Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings for contesting the late President John Evans Atta Mills.

George Boateng, who sounded very unperturbed by opposition from his own party; stated that he would become a better President and stressed that he's going to put the entire economy in the right perspective.
