Prez Mahama Has Lost Touch; Im Coming To Save Ghanaians - NDC Prez Aspirant

George Boateng, who has indicated his desire to pick up forms to contest President John Mahama in the party’s November 7, 2015 Presidential and Parliamentary primaries, says he is the messiah Ghanaians need.

According to him, he is contesting his party leader to save the country from slavery and other untoward hardships bedeviling the citizens.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, George Boateng acknowledged that there are so many visions that President Mahama has lost touch with as a social democrat voted into power by the poor masses.

“There are so many visions President Mahama has lost touch with; we are social democrats and the poor masses brought us into power because they remember what Rawlings did for the poor in Ghana….the NDC cares for the poor but President Mahama has failed to live up to that attribute,” he charged.

He mentioned that the NDC came back to power despite the social interventions like the National Health Insurance Scheme introduced by former President Kufuor because Ghanaians believe the NDC can do better than the NPP.

He maintained that instead of intensifying the NHIS promise made to Ghana, President John Mahama has failed to honor that promise thereby collapsing the scheme.

“There are so many social policies like the NHIS which was initiated by former President Kufuor; it is a good policy and we promised to intensify the scheme but we have failed Ghanaians on that promise….I have come as a messiah to save Ghanaians from slavery and hardship to paradise,” he chided.

He however believes as a grass root person, he understands the masses better to address their problems.
