All National Executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] will be working assiduously to ensure that the party’s presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wins the 2016 presidential election.

This was disclosed by the party’s National Organizer, John Boadu in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie", Thursday.

According to him – the party’s underway “Rise And Build Tour” will not feature most of the bigwigs in the party including National Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong.

He noted that even though the party national chairman can join the party at any time during the tour – he is not officially part of the ‘Rise and Build’ tour team.

“No political party includes its party chairman and all executives in their campaign. That is not done,” he said.

John Boadu was emphatic on NEAT FM that - the “Rise And Build Tour” is just to motivate the NPP fraternity to – “rise and build for victory 2016.”

“After this tour [Rise and Build Tour], the main campaign will be divided into at least ten [10]. Running mate, Dr. Bawumia will have his team, the national chairman will also have his team, the youth organizer as well will have his team. Myself as the national organizer will also have my team. The general secretary will have his line of duty to play,” he said. 

“In our 2016 election campaign, Nana Addo will not have many people around, there will not be more than four people around Nana Addo. That is what we [NPP] are going to do now,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.
