The Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG) has affirmed its commitment to support the education and care of the son of Samuel Nuamah, the Ghanaian Times reporter who lost his life in a fatal accident involving the Presidential Press Corp on August 20, 2015. The Moderator of the General Assembly of the E.P. Church, the Rt Rev. Dr Seth Agidi, made the declaration when he led a delegation from the church to sympathise with the family and the employer of the late Nuamah in Accra. Nuamah lost his life when members of the Presidential Press Corp were returning from Ho where they had accompanied President Mahama to the E.P. Church�s 7th General Assembly on August 20, 2015. The Rt Rev. Dr Agidi expressed the church�s condolence to the bereaved family, noting that �even though Nuamah suffered a painful death as a young and promising journalist, God knows why it happened in that manner�. Consolation message In a further consolation message, the Rt Rev. Dr Agidi entreated the family not to be superstitious but focus on God in prayer for guidance. Other members of the delegation were the Presbyter Executive of the General Assembly, Mr Jonas Dzodzodzi; the West Volta Presbytery Synod Moderator, the Rev. Dr Emmanuel Amey; the President of the Pastors Association, Rev. Mrs Comfort Afele, and the Public Relations Officer, Presbyter MacDonald Bubuama.
