Youth Walk 5 Brings Accra To A Halt

Hundreds of young and vibrant individuals took to the streets on Saturday to make their voices heard in the Ghana Youth Walk 2015. The fifth edition of the Youth Walk series brought together the youth from universities, pre universities, second cycle institutions and young people from different walks of life. The event gave the youth moments of fun and excitement while been offered the opportunity to make social impact. Under theme �Walking for Self-Empowerment� aka #POWERWALK, participants invaded the streets from the Accra Mall to Legon where they were met with a special package of entertainment including but not limited to Eating Competitions, Music and Dance performances and many more. Participants walked with interesting objectives scripted on placards to support or against a cause. Such views included �Walk against environmental degradation, racism, child trafficking� and so on. AIESEC Legon, partners of the powerwalk were delighted to join Brown Berry Show for this national cause. Vice president - business and Development, Emma Abakah stated �We realized the Ghana Youth walk is in line with us since AIESEC is all about developing the next generation and young leaders with impactful professional and volunteering experiences to activate their leadership potential.� The fifth edition of the Ghana Youth walk was powered by the official station for the young and Young at heart Y FM. The number one urban station has also pledged unflinching support for the annual event which is set to be replicated across other regions of the country. The fun does not stop as a pending after party is to be scheduled.
