Nana Addo Storms Eastern Region

THE Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will today start his ‘Rise and Build’ tour in the Eastern Region, after visiting the Volta Region. The 2016 NPP presidential candidate announced last week, Thursday, September 3, 2015, that he would embark on a month-long tour of the country to touch base with the party ahead of the commencement of campaigns for the 2016 general elections.

Today the NPP flagbearer will hold a meeting at the Akyem Oda Methodist Hall at 10am with constituency executives, former regional and national executives, former MMDCES, former ministers and deputy ministers, as well as recently elected parliamentary candidates and defeated ones from Ofoase/Ayirebi, Oda, Achiase, Akwatia, Kade, Swedru and Lower West Akyem.

On Tuesday he will go to Nkawkaw, where he will meet constituency executives from Abirem, Nkawkaw, Afram Plains North, Afram Plains South, Abetifi, Mpraeso, Atiwa East, Atiwa West and Fanteakwa South at ECOWAS Point around 10am.

Nana Akufo-Addo will end his three-day tour of the region in Koforidua, the regional capital, where he will address constituency executives from Asuogyaman, Lower Manya Krobo, Upper Manya Krobo, Yilo, Akuapem North, Akuapem South, New Juabeng North, New Juaben South, Suhum, Ayensuano, Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Upper West Akyem, Abuakwa North, Abuakwa South and Fanteakwa North at Capital View Hotel around 10am.

The tour is aimed at affording the NPP flagbearer the opportunity to meet with all the regional executives, constituency executives and aspirants in the NPP parliamentary primaries, both winners and losers, in every region he visits. The tour is to prepare the party for a campaign that hopes to energise Ghanaians to help build and restore Ghana onto the path of progress and prosperity.

Nana Akufo-Addo is accompanied on the tour by his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Policy Advisor Boakye Agyarko, former Minister of State Elizabeth Ohene, National Organiser John Boadu, National Women’s Organiser Otiko Afisa Djaba, Political Assistant Francis Asenso-Boakye, Press Secretary Eugene Arhin and Campaign Aides Iddrisu Musah ‘Superior’ and Pius Hadzide.

Nana Addo, after his three-day tour of the Eastern Region, will head for the three Northern Regions.
