�Food For All Ghana� Project To Hit Guinness World Longest Table Record On UN World Food Day

You have to be in Accra, Ghana on Saturday, October 17, 2015 and join the world record-breaking attempt by Food for All Ghana Campaign in aid of building West Africa’s first food bank in Ghana to create sustainable means of nutrition for the less privileged with the vision to build food banks across West Africa.

1st West African Food for All conference and Guinness World record event – An attempt to beat the existing world record for the longest table in the world has been accepted by the Guinness Book of World Records, UK.

The attempt will be held in Osu Nyaneba estates, Accra to raise funds to build West Africa’s first food recovery bank in Ghana to create sustainable means of nutrition for the less privileged in West Africa.

Accepting to certify the world record attempt, Head of Records for Guinness world record reiterated their organization’s position in helping charity organizations across the world to achieve their vision and was very happy an organization in West Africa is vying for such a laudable global feat.

Chef Elijah Amoo Addo, initiator of Food for All West Africa who graduated from the just ended President Obama Young African leadership training program by USAID and GIMPA is soliciting for support from all stakeholders in West Africa’s food supply chain and the media to enable Ghana achieve the world feat.

“Every year UN world food day passes with little public awareness until 2012 when we initiated the ‘Feast of hope project’, we fed over 15,000 less privileged with food recovered from our food supply chain. This year we want to make our country proud by achieving this world feat. We entreat all Ghanaians and corporate Ghana to support us break the 1500 meters record to 1700 meters this year to create sustainable means of nutrition for the vulnerable in society; we will have national and international exposure”, he assured.

He explained there will be over 5000 diners, restaurants, hotels, corporate companies, tourism bodies, charities and stakeholders in our food supply chain as well as individuals and families wanting to be part of the ground breaking attempt.

He enumerated the event starts at 10am with YFM broadcasting from the event as the official radio station amidst local and international entertainment acts like Trigmatic and friends, as well as cuisine of the highest standards.

“The 1700 meters dining table will be set out in the vast Osu Nyaneba Estate. Companies and individuals will be able to reserve as many spaces as they wish. Independent restaurants, hotels, corporate companies and caterers will be able to reserve spaces for customers and serve their own picnic-style cuisine on the day”, he detailed.

According to him, proceeds of the event will assist in building the food recovery bank to create sustainable means of nutrition for less privileged in Ghana and Africa; adding that every person participating will be listed as being part of the world record.
