Former HIV/AIDS Ambassador Joyce Dzidzo Mensah has in an interview with livefmghana.com said that she has not regretted coming out to speak the truth.
I have not regretted coming out to speak the truth; I still stand by my words and I will never go contrary to what I have said.
With me coming out to set the record straight, I was aware of what I was doing, whatever information I put out there, I knew where I was going and no matter how hard it was for me, I just had to tell the truth and do the right thing, she said.
She added: I still stand by my words and I have no intention of going back on my words. I had a lot of backlash for what I did, people were calling me all kinds of names, and some said I had stolen this countrys money which I know I did not. The police are still investigating.
The truth is, I did not benefit financially from my ambassadorial deal, all the outreach programs I organised, I did it myself by seeking my own sponsorship. All that I had was the name as an HIV/AIDS ambassador.
And not even all these names calling will make me regret or change my mind. We live in a country where the slightest mistake you make erases all the good things you have done for people. I mean the fact that I have been able to save children, educate people and assisted them in taking precautions, i am satisfied, she said.
