Kwesi Appiah Set To Be appointed Head Coach Of Sudan National Team

Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah is set to be appointed as head coach of the Sudan National team. Reports in the media have hinted. Appiah is expected to succeed Mohammed Abdullah who resigned after a 4-0 demolishing at the hands of Gabon in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. The 55-year-old is currently working as head coach of Sudanese top-flight side Al-Khartoum Waatani. His admirable performance at the Club coupled with an excellent stint with the Black Stars has propelled the Sudanese FA to consider him for the top job. The Ghanaian tactician was axed by the Ghana Football Association after Ghanas shambolic display at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The Sudanese FA meanwhile will appoint a caretaker coach for the Nile Crocodiles ahead of their World Cup qualifiers in November.
