NPP Should Be Dissolved For Us To Sail Through - Bia East MP

Member of Parliament for Bia East constituency, Richard Acheampong has called for the dissolution of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Richard Acheampong called on the rank and file of the NPP to dissolve the party so as to boost the progress of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the NPP appears to be living in their past and have failed to resolve their internal strife.

“For me, NPP should be dissolved so that we can sail through. There will be no competition if your competitor is no more in the scene…So, if we’re advising them and they still want to remain in their past, it’s their own matter.”

He however advised the leadership of the party to address their internal conflicts and build a formidable opposition force against the NDC.

This way, he believes, the NPP will give the current administration a better contest come 2016 but until then, Hon. Acheampong wished the downfall of the New Patriotic Party.
