"As For Bribes We Have All Given Referees Before" Ade Coker Confesses

The trending issue of an investigation which has implicated thirty-four judges following an exposé that established their complicity in a massive corruption scandal in Ghana’s judiciary has also compelled a former Vice-Chairman of the Ghana Football Association to confess.

The former Vice-Chairman of the GFA, Ade Coker admitted that he has given out bribes berfore – after his endless effort to defend High Court judges cited in over two years thorough investigations by world-renowned investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

In a panel discussion on Peace FM flagship morning show 'Kokrokoo', the former Chairman of Great Olympics Football Club, Ade Coker initially doubted the credibility of the investigation.

Responding to a text message sent by Executive Director of Free Zones Board, Kwadwo Twum Boafo and read by host Kwami Sefa Kayi, as to whether he Ade Coker had ever bribed a football referee in his life?, he showed an ‘incurious’ face with a ‘fake’ laughter.

“...As for bribes we have all given refeeres before,” he self-confessed amidst laughter.
