Anthony Annan Rejoins Norwegian Top-Flight Side Stabaek On Short-Term Deal

Ghanaian international Anthony Annan has made a return to Norwegian top-flight side Stabaek IF after signing a short-term deal with the Club. Annan penned the deal with the Eliteserien side as a free agent after ending his contract with German Bundesliga II side 1860 Munich. The 29-year-old is making a return to the Norwegian top-flight having enjoyed stints with Stabaek, IK Start and Rosenborg between 2007- 2011. The former Vitessi and Osasuna midfield kingpin had fruitless spell in Germany as he was left under the perking order at Schalke O4 and 1860 Munich. The former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder thus joins Ghanaian compatriots Kamal Issah and Ernest Asante at Stabaek. The diminutive midfielder will be playing for his seventh Club since moving from the domestic top-flight in 2007 having spent four years in the local League where he featured for Sekondi Hasaacas and Accra Hearts of Oak. The experienced midfielder was a member of the Black Stars squad that made history by reaching the quarter finals of the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
