I Didn't Sell Lions To Randy Abbey

The recriminations of the relegation of Heart of Lions is in full swing as Victor Ahiakpor, founder of the Kpando-based, has made a shocking revelation that he never sold the club to Randy Abbey who has long been touted as the majority shareholder following a recent reported takeover. The revelation by Ahiakpor reveals a huge rift at the heart of the club with the founder insisting he still owns the club which blows a massive hole in the reported ownership of the Ghana FA Executive Committee members recent takeover of the club. Ahiakpor further revealed that he was snubbed by Abbey when he approached him on Sunday in Obuasi on the sidelines of the match against New Edubiase which sealed their division one fate. In January this year, Abbey was reported to have acquired 70% of the shares of the Kpando-based club and that paved way for massive financial capital injection for the club through his partners. However, in an astonishing subtle attack on Mr Abbey, Ahiakpor claimed he has been sidelined in the administration of the club and has been tagged only as a chief supporter which seems to have infuriated him. Ahiakpors claims expose some mystery surrounding the takeover the club with the details not known or shrouded in some secrecy which has led to the founders shocking outburst on radio. The founder has been bulging neck-vein ballistic and launched an attacked on Abbey whom he blames for leading the Giant Killers into the abyss of the Division One League. I never sold my team. Ask Randy Abbey if he bought Lions, and for how much. I have been described as a chief supporter instead of Founder. How?, Mr. Ahiakpor lamented in an interview on Happy FM. I am the founder of Lions but not treated as such. I was at Obuasi to support my team but Randy Abbey ignored me. I went to him to greet him but he rolled up his car glass and pretended to be on phone he said, adding that, These things wont help the club. Heart of Lions have been plunged from the Ghana top-flight for the first time since 2004.
