Deputy Eastern Regional Minister Files Nomination

The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Ms Mavis Ama Frimpong led supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at New Abirem, in the Birim North District to file her nomination at the Abirem Constituency office of the party. She is the only candidate contesting the party�s parliamentary primaries in the constituency at the close of nominations. The Deputy Minister was accompanied by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Paul Aboagy Dadzie and the Eastern Regional First Vice Chairperson of the Party, Mrs Stella Ansah. Receiving her forms, the Constituency Secretary of NDC, Mr Charles Ampomah, urged supporters in all the 74 branches in the Constituency to give the Deputy Regional Minister, the needed support and cooperation for total victory of the party in the forth coming Presidential and Parliamentary elections. Addressing the party supporters, Ms Frimpong expressed her appreciation for their support and assured that with unity and hard work she would win the parliamentary seat. She said very soon the term of the seating Member of Parliament, who is also a female, will come to an end and urged the people in the Constituency irrespective of their political affiliation to give her the nod to continue from where she left off, for her to lobby for more development projects to improve the living standards of the people. Ms Frimpong said as a former DCE, she initiated a number of development projects in health, education, roads, and water and sanitation sectors in the various communities to enhance the living standard of the people. She gave the assurance to lobby for more of such infrastructural development projects for deprived communities in the District. She advised the supporters of the party to bury their differences and undertake decent campaigns devoid of insults to win more people to the party to ensure total victory in the forth coming elections.
