The renowned Lecturer of Linguistics at the University of Ghana, Legon, Professor Kofi Agyekum, has ripped apart the two major political parties in the country, the NDC and NPP for what he described as �their callous and rabble-rousing tendencies�.
Professor Agyekum, who is also a leading member of the Ghana Peace Council, descended heavily on the two major political parties, the NDC and NPP for taking advantage of the ignorance of some citizens and manipulating them to forment trouble for their political gains.
He warned that such methods retard the development of the country.
Opanyin Agyekum was reacting to last Tuesday�s bloody incident at Agbogbloshie.
He appealed to the various political parties to join hands together and resolve to halt such acts of political vindictiveness, and also called for the application of stiffer punishment for the perpetrators if found, to serve as a deterrent to others.
