Im Ordained To Represent Keta Quarshigah

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Keta constituency in the Volta Region, Richard Quarshigah believes he has what it takes to retain his position and that, his ambition is even endorsed by God. The incumbent MP is facing a fierce contest from about three other aspirants. The three, who are poised to give him a good run for his money are Kofi Kokubour, Rocky Amudzi and Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey. Despite the stiff competition, Quarshigah is still optimistic he will retain his bid to serve for the second time. Giving reasons why residents in the constituents should endorse his candidature on the Point Blank segment of Eye Witness News, the MP said : I believe I have done a lot for the development of Keta the expansion of the Atiade road is on the drawing boardI believe I am ordained to represent my people in Keta. I represent my people and bring up discussions that will help in development of the people of Keta, he added. One of the aspirants seeking to unseat Quarshigah, Gakpey earlier alleged that the latter won in the 2012 primaries by taking advantage of the limited number of delegates. Quarshigah however watered down his claims, describing them as unfavourable arguments. Someone wants my position. It is not surprising that unflattering things will be said about me, he maintained. Quarshigah has been the Member of Parliament for the area since 2012.
