I Wish Anas Will Delay Premiere Of His Video Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

Legal Practitioner Dr Maurice Ampaw who has rallied behind ace investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas following the outcome of his recent controversial undercover work, wants the September 22, premiere of the video evidence to be postponed.

He explained that the tension emanating prior to the premiere of the video must subside first. Lawyer Ampaw noted that he doesn’t side with counsels for some of the implicated Judges trying to use their “judicial powers” to stop public showing of the video.

He made this assertion in an interview with OKAY FM Saturday when discussing latest on the judicial scandal brouhaha.

Lawyer for four members of the Judicial Staff Association who have been implicated in the corruption expose’, Egbert Faibille believes showing the video of the alleged malfeasance will affect the sensibilities of children captured in it.

He argued the video evidence captured through the investigative work of journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas unduly exposes the images of infants whose parents were subjects of the investigation.

Egbert Faibille claim it’s unfair to subject the minors to public attention when they are only victims of circumstances.

But Lawyer Ampaw opined that - although he want the video to be delayed, nothing should stop the world class investigator from showing the corrupt practices of some judges.

He also cautioned against overly celebrating some eleven judges who ace investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has said are incorruptible.

He said these Judges must not be made to be seen as holy as they are currently being projected to the public.

“I’m saying these Judges may not be angels as it appears to be put out there. The fact that Anas was not successful in bribing them does not mean they are not bribable. It may well be the case that his approach in wanting to establish their complicity in corrupt practices failed this time around.

“…If someone is an armed robber and a swoop is conducted today but the person is not caught, that doesn’t mean the person is not an armed robber” he noted
