Mr John Adu Jack, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant in Dormaa Central has promised to conduct clean campaign devoid of maligning opponents ahead of the Party�s primaries on November 7. Mr Jack who gave this assurance after filing his nomination at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Brong-Ahafo Region stressed: �I will resign from the contest if any of my followers does anything wrong to cast a negative image on the Party.� He called for proper assessment of the Party�s past performance and strategically present a winnable candidate to defeat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Election 2016 because the constituency has become one of NPP�s strongholds in the Region since Election 2000. Mr Kwaku Agyemang, the Constituency Organiser of the Party, challenged the contenders to direct their eagerness for change to wrest power from the NPP and not to backbite each other. He asked the supporters of the aspirants to be worthy ambassadors of the Party by working hard in support of the eventual winner for the Party to annex power from the NPP. Mr Kwadwo Asare, the Constituency Youth Organiser, added that the Party�s constitution disallows the executives from supporting a particular candidate in the contest and therefore assured of equal support required for all the aspirants. He asked the aspirants to use decent language and work hard at the grassroots to garner more support for the Party. Three aspirants of the NDC are vying for the seat. They are Professor Kwame Agyenim-Boateng, Chairman of the Sunyani Polytechnic Council and Mr Gordon Asubonteng, Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive.
