Opoku Nti Replaced By Dr. Kwaku Frimpong As New General Manager Of Kotoko

Bankroller of Asante Kotoko Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has relieved Opoku Nti off his duties as General Manager of the Club, according to reports from Kumasi. Reports indicate that Otumfuo has dismissed Opoku Nti following the teams patchy run in the 2014/15 First Capital plus Premier League. Kotoko failed to defend their League title after finishing 6th in this seasons domestic top-flight. The Porcupine Warriors managed 12 wins, 9 stalemates and 9 losses after 30 rounds of matches. The former Ghana Champions were further deducted six points having being found culpable for using an unqualified player in their Premier League win over rivals Hearts of Oak. Two wins over Sekondi Hasaacas and Aduana Stars in their last two matches enabled the reds to finish in the 6th position having found themselves at the relegation zone. The performance of the team led supporters of the club calling for Opoku Ntis dismissal as the General Manager of the Club. Information coming in from Kumasi however indicates that CEO of the Champion Divine Clinic who is also a former board member of the Club Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Club. Opoku Nti failed to guide Kotoko to win the domestic title for the fourth successive time having won the last three editions of the League.
