The Porcupine Warriors say they are not negotiating with any German manager. Asante Kotoko have rubbished rumours of talks with a German coach following the team's poor season under David Duncan. Local reports suggest that Danish coach Tommy Moller Nielson has arrived in the country ahead of his takeover as technical director of the Kumasi-based side. However, a statement on the club�s official website named the coach as Thomas Muller, a German, but went ahead to state that the club has no such intensions. �Those reports are far from the truth,� Kotoko�s communications manager Kwaku Ahenkorah said. �As far as we know, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong of Champions Divine Clinic brought him (the German). They are business partners. �Therefore, reports about him coming to Kotoko should be ignored.� However, an expatriate, suspected to be the coach in question, was seen at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday as Kotoko lost 3-1 to Ashanti Gold in the 2015 Otumfuo Cup. It is unclear if the Danish coach reported by the media has any relation to the German trainer mentioned by the club�s website. Sunday�s defeat caps a disappointing year for the Kumasi-based side who, until the last day of the 2014-15 Ghana Premier League season, were unsure of their topflight status after being involved in a relegation battle. Although the club eventually finished sixth on the league log, they ended the season without a major silverware, having as well lost the President�s Cup and the FA Cup.
