The Private Universities Students� Association of Ghana (PUSAG) has suspended its withdrawal from the �Campus Connect� series, a programme initiated by government to enable state officials to interact with students in tertiary institution on pertinent issues. A statement jointly signed by Mr Mohammed Adams Sukparu, PUSAG National President, and Mr Raphael Apetorgbor, Media Relations Officer, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra on Monday said, the decision to lift the ban on the campus connect was informed by the positive response it had received from the government and the Ministry of Education to address their grievances. The student governing body has therefore, directed all Student Representative Council leaders in all accredited private universities across the country to grant them audience devoid of heckling. �We the National Executive Committee of PUSAG therefore direct our constituents to grant officials of Campus Connect series the needed audience devoid of heckling, � said the statement. The Leadership of PUSAG expressed their gratitude to all accredited private universities, parents and students for rallying behind them when officials of �Campus Connect� were banned from their campuses. �We would like to applaud the Council of Independent Universities, Parents, Guardians and all stakeholders for their overwhelming support when we banned Campus Connect series on our campuses,� said the statement. However, the students governing body said, though they had suspended the ban, they were still waiting on government to meet their demand, else they won�t hesitate to ban them.
