Former Ghanaian international Samuel Osei Kuffour has popped up for the position as the General Manager of Asante Kotoko. The former Bayern Munich defender is said to be in pole position to take up the top job following the dismissal of Opoku Nti. Opoku Nti was relieved off his duties after failing to guide the Porcupine Warriors to retain their League title having won the domestic top-flight on three successive occasions. Reports were rife on Tuesday that CEO of Champion Divine Clinic Dr Kwaku Frimpong has already been appointed to take charge of the team. Ghanasportsonline.com however understands that the ex-Black Stars player (Sammy Kuffour) is in strong contention for the vacant position with reports indicating he has already met with the life patron and Bankroller of the Club Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Kuffour who has been a board member of the Club was named on Kotoko�s CAF Champions League committee last season.
