MLS SALARIES REVEALED: David Accam is highest paid Ghanaian

The Major League Soccer Players Union released details of the salaries of players in the league on Tuesday. Ghana and Chicago Fire striker David Accam is currently the highest paid Ghanaian in MLS, according to the Players union. The former Right to Dream Academy and now Chicago Fire forward is pocketing almost US $650,000 per year. Portland Timbers and Ghana keeper, Adam Kwarasey emerged the second highest paid Ghanaian with a yearly wage of US $260,000. New York City FC attacker, Kwadwo Poku earns the least among the Ghanaians in the MLS, as he is paid US $ 60,000 annually. Also, Former Esperance defender Harrison Afful came seventh with his $150,000 per year wage from Columbus Crew SC. Nigerian forward Obefemi Martins is the highest paid African in the MLS with his US $ 2,400,000 per year wage. Cote D�Ivoire and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba ranks as the second highest paid African with an annual salary of US $ 1,666,668.00 per annum. On the international front, 2007 Ballon d�Or winner Kaka is the highest paid footballer in the USA. The 33-year-old midfielder is raking a yearly wage of $6,660,000.
