Which Govt Official Is Protecting The Indian Money Launderers?

In a running criminal case , in which four policemen are being accused of stealing cash belonging to some alleged Indian money launderers and experiencing what, sometimes, innocent chaps go through, it is emerging, base on hardcore evidence available to this paper that, the police officers may be innocent, after all.

Pictorial, as and well as audio evidence in the possession of this paper reveals that contrary to what has been bandied about that the police officers stole the money, to the tune of GH¢50 and one bar of Gold, the four accused are only being used as sacrificial lambs to appease the powers that be.

Already, barring any last minute hitches, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Nunekpeku with service number 33584; Sgt. Alex Akuaku, No. 33450; Sgt. Julius Sewor, 40492 and L/Cpl Richmond Ayayi, who arrested the Indians in their Osu base last Saturday would be served with their interdiction letters to go home on slashed salaries.

However, how the four police officer, who were on their assigned duties to arrest money launderers, against the backdrop of tip-off from informant were turned into victims, with the culprits rather left off- the- hook is what has sent tongues wagging over why the police higher ups are rather persecuting their own when the real culprits walk on the street as freed men.

“When the room was finally opened, after the initial denial we found it filled with a large volume of money stashed in many bags as well as gold bars, and we told them to follow us to the police, but we didn’t have enough cars to cart the cash so one of us drove the car of the Indians and the police car followed suit”, one of the accused police officers we cloak with the garb of anonymity to this paper.

The paper gathered that when they (Indians) were sent to the police station, the Indians were going through the routine of caution statement when out of the blue word allegedly came from the Second-in-Command at the CID headquarters, that the suspects be released with their booty.

“But before leaving the Police Station, they were made to check their money, to which Mr Singh, one of the directors of the company signed a document (published elsewhere), that all their things were intact so we are surprised why they are asking us to go home”, the officer said.

Stay tuned, as the story has just begun.
