My Lolo Girls Are Here For You

Francophone music legend megastar Freddy Meiway of ‘Zoblazo’ and ‘Miss Lolo’ fame has said he would put the best ever music performance of his life during the African Legends Night slated for tomorrow, September 26 at the State House in Accra.

Meiway, headline artiste for the African Legends Night, arrived in Accra for the concert early this week and has confirmed he travelled to Ghana with a 16-member band and the popular ‘Miss Lolo’ female dancers celebrated for their special ability to dance with their big-sized breasts largely exposed.

“I want to tell Ghanaians to come to the show with their white handkerchiefs. Get ready to have fun from me because I am not here to joke. I love Ghana and I want to do this for Ghana with all the love from my heart,” Meiway said.

Tomorrow’s concert is the fifth edition of the annual African Legends Night organised by Global Media Alliance and will have spectacular performances from some of Ghana’s greatest musicians including Amakye Dede, Gyedu-Blay Ambulley, Akosua Adjapong and Trigmatic.

Edwin Amankwah, Director of Global Media Alliance, told NEWS-ONE that as at Wednesday everything was set for the concert to roll and that tickets were almost sold out.

“Though the performers—Meiway, Amakye Dede, Gyedu-Blay Ambulley, Akosua Adjapong and Trigmatic—are megastar professionals, I can confirm to you they are seriously rehearsing for this concert and none of them is taking it lightly at all.

“Everything is set for the show. Sounds, protocols, stage, security, ushers are all ready and we would live up to expectation because the African Legends Night is now a brand that lives in the hearts and on the minds of many who believe in the rich culture and heritage of African music,” Mr Amankwah noted.

Past editions have included headliners such as South Africa’s legend Hugh Masekela, Nigeria’s Femi Kuti, Ghanaian ace Saxophonist Steve Bedi, Ben Brako, George Darko, Amakye Dede and a blend of artistes across Africa.

“We are proud to say that African Legends Night is now a brand that lives in the hearts and on the minds of many who believe in the rich culture and heritage of African music. With Meiway alongside music heavyweights from Ghana, this year’s African Legends Night has a glittering history yet to be recorded in the world of African music concerts,” added Edwin Amankwah, Director of Global Media Alliance.

Known in real life as Frederic Desire Ehui, Meiway aka Monsieur Zoblazo rules dance floors all the way across Africa. Meiway has forged his own signature style throughout a career that spans almost 15 years.

Organisers and sponsors have promised to dazzle patrons of African music with vibrant performances at the show proudly sponsored by Kasapreko, Vodafone, Stanbic bank and Phoenix Insurance.
