New Biometric Voters' Register Agitations Is Another Form Of All Die Be Die Jacob Osei Yeboah

An Independent Presidential Candidate in the 2012 presidential election, Jacob Osei Yeboah has said the agitation and preparation towards mutiny on new biometric voters' register is unfortunate.

According to him - the political entrenched stance of especially opposition NPP without recourse to real solutions should be despicable in the eyes Ghanaians.

“Electronic Bio Data loses its relevance after 6 months if not maintained or updated regularly. This is irrespective of how accurate the data input was verified and validated. This is because people will die and others will be 18yrs whilst others will relocate.

“…Irrespective of whatever faults one might unravel now, technically it does no good but will rather be pointers to improve. All these errors were possible because EC and in fact NIA failed to capture individual bio identity with respective addresses.” He said

In an interview with Peacefmonlince.com Jacob Osei Yeboah also known as ‘JOY 2012’ maintained that – “Unless we recreate a new maintainable data to serve as a base we will need a new voters' Register each election year. Can this portray Ghana as productive nation in the comity of nations? In fact, EC data register is not even valid for any election after 6 months.”

He advised that – “Let's look for permanent and excellent solution with national electronic data register infrastructure. This solution can enable NIA to work effectively as well as EC working efficiently. I love real solutions to problems rather than using political tools in solving engineering and other problems.”

Jacob who was anxious with the resent brutality of some pressure group demanding a new voters’ register questioned that – “Why should we even buy into and accept the fact that we are ready to kill ourselves if EC fails a new voters’ register? To kill ourselves for who to live and enjoy?

“I therefore totally disagree with those who suggest we kill ourselves. This cry is a mutation of the spirit of “all die be die" that the nation must never yield to. There must always be a justification for all die be die whose purpose is to spill our blood like Liberians. Those who have deep ears and eyes will hear and see that they may understand this” he added

Joy 2012 was emphatic that - “EC can never be a repository of Ghana's Bio data except its mandate is changed. It is our God given duty to give life to our nation to mature into democratic state. Let deep minds think through the issue for best solution to be sought after legally. For it is unacceptable for people to lose their lives or live to regret due to deformation. Let's lay wise stones of democratisation such that a time may come that the next generation will touch our works and say see this our fathers did for us.”
