God Should Give Ghana A New President Methodist Pastor

Rt. Rev. Col. Paul A. Brewu, Superintendent Minister of the Mount Zion Methodist Church, is praying to God to give Ghana a new President when the country goes to the polls in 2016.

According to him, the country under President John Dramani Mahama is suffering and believes the time is ripe for a new hand to take over the reign of power.

“We pray that God willing, next year, there will be a new Head of State in Ghana because the country is suffering,” he noted.

Rt. Rev. Brewu made this observation at a church service Sunday when the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo joined the party’s parliamentary candidate for Tema West, Carlos Ahenkorah, to give thanks to God for his victory in the NPP parliamentary primaries.

He said corruption under President Mahama has become widespread and prayed to God to punish all those who have stolen money from the country’s coffers.

“The corruption in the country is too much. To all those who have stolen money from the country’s coffers, God will punish them,” he stressed.

Rt. Rev. Brewu who sounded a bit controversial in his sermon which was under the theme ‘Your sincerity to God’s work shall be rewarded’, prayed to God for Akufo-Addo to be crowned President of the Republic of Ghana in 2017.

However, his request to God, he noted will only be effective if Nana Akufo-Addo instills discipline in the NPP and punishes any member who does something wrong.
