Kabila Lambasts Sports Ministry

James Kwabena Bomfeh, also called Kabila, has lambasted the Sports Ministry and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for failing to pay up allowances to the Black Queens.

According to reports, gold-winning Black Queens of Ghana have not received their allowances for three years.

In spite of the Queens' sacrifices for the nation, they feel despised and rejected by the State.

The players of the national female team are currently lodging at the M-Plaza Hotel and have been demanding for the payment of their allowances after winning gold in the 2015 All African Games.

Contributing to a panel discussion on 'Kokrokoo' on Peace FM, Kabila held strongly that the State has no regard for the Black Queens.

He described the Ministry's inability to remit their cost to the Black Queens as a "clear show of failure on the part of the State."

To him, this is because the government has been shirking her responsibilities to Ghanaians, though they were elected to serve the nation.

“We must all realize that our country is not working for the Ghanaian people. And we need to rise to make Ghana work again for Ghanaians. It’s our responsibility…The onus of responsibility lies greatly with the President and government officials who have been elected by the Ghanaian electorates to serve the nation," he stated.

Kabila therefore called on the Sports Minister, Mustapha Ahmed to address the issue regarding the Black Queens.
