President Mahama Orders Sports Ministry To Pay Black Queens Players $5,000
President John Dramani Mahama has ordered the Sports Ministry to pay each member of the Black Queens an amount of $5,000.
The Queens are currently at the M-Plaza hotel in Accra after rejecting an earlier $2,000 from the Ministry.
The team are owed over $20,000 but were only demanding for $11,000 after winning Gold at the All-Africa Games.
The team earlier today was reported to have held a meeting at the Flagstaff house with some government officials.
Latest reports emerging indicate that the President who is currently away on a visit in the US has ordered the Ministry to increase the money by $3,000 which is expected to be delivered to the players tonight at the hotel.
All 21 players are however expected to depart the hotel by Wednesday morning.
