The Greater Accra Regional NDC Chairman, Ade Coker has expressed disappointment in the organizers of the Let My Vote Count (LMVC) demonstration weeks ago.

The LMVC demonstrators took to the streets in the capital and were marching to the Electoral Commission to petition the Commission about their request for a new voters' register.

But there were violent confrontations between the demonstrators and the Police Service which felt that the demonstrators were being recalcitrant in obeying their orders.

This ended in the use of whips, water cannons and shooting of tear gas by the Police Service to divert the course of the demonstrators.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Ade Coker held strongly that the leaders of the LMVC should have delegated two persons to petition the EC regarding their request.

He therefore wondered why the group would embark on demonstration if what they sought was a pass into the EC for their request to be heard.

To him, the Police should be allowed to work because the same critics would lambast the Police if they shirk their duties.

"Should the Police stay in their houses and stop protecting us. We would rise up and say the Police are not up to their duties."
