Ex-Black Stars defender, Sam 'Foyo' Johnson, has said the current crop of players of the senior national team need to learn more despite most playing professional football. He is of the belief that, they are doing well and can be better players for the national team. The former defender admitted the current Black Stars players are better on paper as compared to their time but hopeful they would have done better if all their needs were provided by the authorities in their time. �Currently the boys in the team are equally good but they need to learn more but I believe they�re good. "If they decide to learn and act according to whatsoever they are doing, they can go far because I think the current players of the national team are full of young talent," he said. Sam Johnson has expressed worry with the defenders of the national team and says they don�t have a commanding leader and that should be a concern which the leaders of our football must address. �There is no commanding leader at our defense. In every department of the game, you must have a captain, someone who can control that department of the team and so if you have such a leader, it makes it a bit easier, and also, they need to be able to talk to each other," he added. According to Sam Johnson, there is no senior player on the field of play but the respect is there even if you�re not playing. "The Black Stars current players are better than us, when you put it on paper because they have been at the world stage three occasions and we have not". Johnson revealed �If you put in money, you can get the result but if you they don�t get the results, then they really have to sit down to have a game plan," he stated.
