The Church of Light Mission, Ghana, at Bohyen-Asuogya, a suburb of Kumasi, has donated items and cash to the Kumasi Childrens Home.
These items included eight bags of rice, sugar and a quantity of cooking oil.
The Rev Salomey Amoakoaa-Adiyiah, the Head Pastor, said as Christians, they were enjoined by their faith to help make life a bit comfortable for the socially disadvantaged, the poor and the needy.
She appealed to churches, organizations and institutions to lend a helping hand to the Department of Social Welfare to enable the orphans to lead normal lives.
Let us all accept to share in the responsibility of catering for the unfortunate ones in the society.
Mrs Hannah Akwaboah, the Supervisor of the Home, who received the items, thanked the Church for the donation.
