Nassam : 'No Fears over Kwarasey Return'

Ghana goalkeeping coach Nassam Yakubu says his work will not be affected by the expected return of former goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey. Yakubu has been in the news following his fallout with the Portland Timbers shot-stopper at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil. Kwarasey was dropped after Ghanas 2-1 loss to USA in their opener and was never used again in the tournament. The Black Stars did not progress from the group stage. Kwarasey has been invited, Yakubu confirmed to Focus FM. I am a professional and Im not the only one that observes in camp. The message is, they [Black Stars goalkeepers] are all very good so if such a situation arises, it would be dealt with appropriately. Kwarasey has been enjoying a purple patch of form in Major League Soccer, keeping 12 clean sheets in 29 matches, while current Black Stars regulars Razak Brimah and Fatau Dauda have been criticised in recent times for unconvincing performance on national duty. I have a very good working relationship with him [Kwarasey]. It boils down to the fact that he was not picked for a particular match which he expected to be picked. Its normal with everybody when you are expecting to be picked and youre not picked. I would look unprofessional if I take that to heart. Kwarasey is expected to make his official return when Ghana take on Canada in an international friendly on October 13 in Washington.
