NPP leaders in the Ashanti Region are accusing national executives of seeking to shift public attention from the flagbearer�s scheduled visit to the region. Regional Secretary, Samuel Pyne, says a planned launch of party membership cards in Kumasi is mistimed. Party Chairman, Paul Afoko, is expected to lead a team to outdoor newly- introduced party membership cards in Kumasi on Wednesday. Mr. Pyne, however, says the regional executives will boycott the programme because they are unaware of it. Speaking on Nhyira FM� on Kroyi mu Nsem, Mr.Payne stressed that launching of party identity cards cannot take precedence over Nana Akufo Addo�s visit. �For the first time I�m hearing about this launch is on your station today�how come me the regional secretary who is expected to lead the supposed cards registration is not aware?� he quizzed. �Nana Addo is expected to be in Kumasi as part of his campaign this Wednesday why do we then want to use this issue to divert attention�.
